China's July 2024 excavator and loader data bulletin

01. Excavator

According to statistics from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association on major excavator manufacturers, 13,690 excavators of various types were sold in July 2024, an increase of 8.6% year-on-year, of which 6,234 were sold domestically, an increase of 21.9% year-on-year; 7,456 were exported, a decrease of 0.51% year-on-year.

From January to July 2024, a total of 116,903 excavators were sold, a decrease of 3.72% year-on-year; 59,641 were sold domestically, an increase of 6.23% year-on-year; and 57,262 were exported, a decrease of 12.3% year-on-year.

In July 2024, 2 electric excavators were sold (1 below 6 tons and 1 18.5 to 28.5 tons).

02. Loader

According to statistics from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association on major loader manufacturers, 8,379 loaders of various types were sold in July 2024, a year-on-year increase of 27.1%. Among them, 4,439 units were sold in the domestic market, a year-on-year increase of 24.7%; 3,940 units were exported, a year-on-year increase of 30.1%.

From January to July 2024, a total of 65,397 loaders of various types were sold, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%. Among them, 33,352 units were sold in the domestic market, a year-on-year decrease of 0.36%; 32,045 units were exported, a year-on-year increase of 7.84%.

In July 2024, 1,317 electric loaders were sold (8 units of 3 tons, 1,056 units of 5 tons, 235 units of 6 tons, 16 units of 7 tons, and 2 units of 8 tons).
